Abstract

Al Musawwa Islamic Boarding School is a modern boarding school where all students are students who are active students in various state and private universities. However, the learning method applied by this cottage is the classical method, namely talaqqi. The purpose of this study is to find out about the talaqqi learning method, especially hadith learning and identify factors in the form of advantages and disadvantages of applying the learning method. This research belongs to the type of qualitative research which uses data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis of the data that has been obtained was carried out by the deductive method. The analysis departs from general events and then is reduced to specific parts. The talaqqi method is a learning method since the time of the Prophet Muhammad to his companions. So the Al Musawwa student boarding school applies this method as a learning method, learning at the Al Musawwa student boarding school is said to have been smooth and good because the desired goal can be achieved, namely to make the students have personal and character who can apply nobility in accordance with the guidance of the prophet. In the application of this talaqqi method, learning hadith becomes more conducive and focuses on the material presented by the teachers.
