Abstract
Investment is an investment activity originating from the domestic and foreign sectors in the form of private capital and government capital. This study aims to analyze the effect of the area of the district or city minimum wage, the human and labor development index on investment in East Java in 2020. The type of data is secondary data in 2020. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression with the ordinary least square (OLS) method. The data used is cross section data consisting of 38 districts or cities in East Java in 2020. The results of data analysis showed that the data were normally distributed and the model was not linear. The results of the t test show that the district or city minimum wage and labor have a significant effect. Furthermore, the model exists and the coefficient of determination is 76.04%. The implementation of the research results shows that when the district or city minimum wage and labor increase, it will tend to increase investment, and vice versa.
