Abstract

The opening of residential areas and the large number of evictions of agricultural land for the construction of buildings, offices, as well as shopping centers are increasing. The narrower the land used for farming, one of the mitigation strategies is to develop planting media, one of which is using hydroponics. Hydroponic growing media is a growing medium without the need for soil as the main medium. Hydroponic farming requires good quality of water nutrients to maintain its fertility, so it is necessary to monitor and control water quality, which can be done in real time and automated as much as possible. This research develops automatic water quality control usingArduino Mega microcontroller as well as various sensors. The data displayed is the data measured by the sensor and will later be used to perform actuator control commands. The processed data will also be received by the wifi module for the purposes ofmonitoring and evaluation. Monitoring This is done by connecting a microcontroller with a smartphone application which aims to make it easier to monitor and minimize hydroponic farmers to monitor directly coming to the garden every day to check the water quality.
