Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find out how interpersonal communication between parents and children who commit rape crimes is. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive study method, where the researcher places more emphasis on the depth of the data sourced from the facts obtained in the field. The data collection method used in this research is to conduct interviews. The informant retrieval technique used is purposive sampling, where this technique includes people who have been selected based on certain criteria that have been made by the researcher. The results of this study indicate that communication between parents and adolescents before adolescents are involved in cases is more unidirectional and closed where parents teach more values to adolescents by providing unidirectional advice. Adolescents are not open about the problems they face and are more likely to tell their problems to others and solve their own problems. Post-adolescent communication involved in cases is not much different because fathers are still busy with work and rarely communicate directly, even though the things communicated are more focused on supporting and solving adolescent problems, this is done to maintain the youth's mentality after serving the sentence.
