Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of the Contribution of Women's Emancipation to Economic Development in the Ex-Kedu Residency Region 2015-2020". The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of independent variables which include women's life expectancy, gender empowerment index and female civil servants on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the former Kedu Residency area. The analytical method used is panel data regression with a cross section covering 6 districts/cities in the former Kedu Residency area, including Magelang City, Magelang Regency, Temanggung Regency, Wonosobo Regency, Purworejo Regency and Kebumen Regency. While the time series data starts from 2015 to 2020. The results show that the life expectancy of women and female civil servants has an effect on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the former Kedu Residency area. Meanwhile, the gender empowerment index has no effect on the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in the former Kedu Residency.
