Abstract

This study aims to analyze production factors, price factors and per capita income factors that affect the demand for shallots in Indonesia. The data used is a cross section covering 34 provinces in Indonesia in 2016, data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Red Onion Outlook and related institutions in this study. The model used in this study is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). ) The results of this study indicate that the Shallot Production (PRODBM) and Perkapita Income variables have a significant effect on proper onion demand in Indonesia, while the variable price of shallots and the price of onion do not significantly influence the demand for shallots in Indonesia. The results showed (R2) of R2 = 0.597053 means 59.70. This means that the influence of the independent variables (onion production, per capita income, price of shallots, onion prices on the dependent variable (demand for shallots) is 59.70%, while the remaining 40.3% is influenced or explained by other factors outside this research model.
