Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analysing the variables which can affect the current balance account of ASEAN’s countries from year 2013 to 2017 with using three independent variables such as exchange rates, foreign exchange reserves, and level of consumptions by using data that sourced from World Bank and Asean.org and the analytical tools is using regression with a panel data model which is a combination of cross section and time series. Based on the results of the panel data test, it shows that the exchange rates (Kurs) variable does not affect the current balance account. Besides that the foreign exchange reserves (CD) variable has a positive affect for the current balance account, and the level of consumptions (TK) has a negative affect for the current balance account in ASEAN;s countries.
