Abstract

VW Tour is a community that describes the participation and support of all components of society in encouraging the development of tourism in a destination or area of Borobudur District. According to Law Number 10 of 2009 concerning Tourism, it is stated that the implementation of tourism is aimed at increasing national income. The existence of tourist villages in the Borobudur Temple tourist area is still not as popular as Borobudur Temple itself. The aim of this research is to; (1) analyze the role of VW Tour in developing tourist villages in the Borobudur Temple tourist area; (2) Analyzing the VW Tour Travel Route around the Borobudur Temple Tourist Area. This research method uses survey and observation methods with primary data and secondary data from Google Earth. The results of this research show that; (1) The role of VW Tour has a big impact on the development of tourist villages, as the scoring results show with an average of 42, which means it is in the High category. (2) Travel routes are found according to the VW Tour package, namely Short Trip, Medium Trip and Long Trip, each of which is processed using Factual and Actual parameters. The difference between the factual route and the actual route is in the distance and duration of the trip. Factual routes have longer distances and travel times, while actual routes offer more efficient options with shorter distances and times.
