Abstract

Ayem Tentrem Boarding House is a rental business operating in the heart of Salatiga City. Although boarding houses offer flexibility and convenience, managing them is not as simple as it seems. A boarding house manager must handle various aspects in an organized and structured manner. To date, the management of the boarding house is still conducted manually, which is inefficient. To address this issue, an information system is needed to assist the manager in managing the business. This study aims to develop a web-based boarding house management information system to overcome the challenges of property management in the digital era. Using the waterfall method, this system is expected to provide an effective and efficient solution for managing tenant data, payments, complaints, and room reservations. The research results show that the system functions well, based on blackbox testing and a System Usability Scale (SUS) with an average score of 87.5 from 30 respondents, placing the system in the "Excellent" category. This system successfully improves the ease of monitoring transactions, managing tenants, and handling complaints online.
