Abstract

The Indonesian National Police is an institution responsible for providing services, maintaining order and security, and enforcing the law in society. Police members are required to be firm, ethical, professional, and consistent in carrying out their duties. They are also expected to always be on standby 24 hours a day. This condition can trigger work stress in police members. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between workload and dual roles with stress in female police members of the Surakarta Police. This study used a quantitative correlational method. The population used in this study were active members of the Surakarta Police with a total population of 90. In this study, a sample of 83 people with the criteria of active female police members and those who were married. The results obtained in this study showed a positive relationship between workload and dual role conflict with stress with an R square value of 30% with an effective contribution of workload of 9.369 and an effective contribution to dual role conflict of 20.635. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it is known that the significance value for workload (x1) and dual role conflict (x2) on work stress (y) is 0.000 <0.05 and the calculated f value is 17.159> f table value 3.10. This proves that there is a significant influence of workload (x1) and dual role conflict (x2) on work stress (y).
