Abstract

Commercial sex workers who are undergoing rehabilitation certainly experience many changes in conditions. Accepting current conditions without rejecting past experiences, this can help them to become more positive individuals and be able to leave their jobs after undergoing a rehabilitation period. This research aims to describe self-acceptance in beneficiaries who are undergoing social rehabilitation. The informants for this research were four subjects selected using purpossive sampling. The subject criteria in this research are beneficiaries who previously worked as commercial sex workers (PSK) and are currently undergoing rehabilitation at PPSW Wanodyatama Surakarta. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. Data was collected using semi-structured interview techniques and the data analysis technique used was an interactive model. The results of this research are self-acceptance towards the beneficiaries shown by a sense of awareness, gratitude, sincerity, hope to become a better person in the future, and learning lessons from this event. However, some subjects still find it difficult to get rehabilitation because they often feel sad, show rebellious behavior such as trying to run away, and reduce interactions with other people.
