Abstract
The development of internet technology has led to interaction between social media users so that online fan communities can be formed. Online fan community is a group of people who have the same interests so that they can form a community on the internet. One of the online fan communities on Twitter is BTS fans or commonly known as the ARMY. This study aims to determine what role is performed by the ARMY in collaborative problem-solving regarding the news of his idol in the media. This study uses qualitative methods with a constructivism paradigm. The theory used is the participatory culture theory developed by Henry Jenkins. The sampling technique in this study is by using snowball sampling with four research subjects who are an ARMY. Data collection was done by interview, documentation analysis, and literature study. The results of this study are BTS fans (ARMY) conduct collaborative support activities by reporting and blocking InsertLive's Instagram account, lowering InsertLive's impression rating, and sending email complaints to Big Hit Music.
