Abstract

Slum areas do not only occur in big cities which are the center of the economy to become the center of government in a country. Slum areas can occur in small cities such as Boyolali Regency. The concept of housing areas and slums in Boyolali District refers to PUPR No. 14/PRT/M/2018. The level of welfare is the level or level of the fulfillment of human needs. This study aims to analyze the level of family welfare in residential areas and slums in Boyolali District. The data collection methods used in this study were survey interviews and field observations. The population in this study is the head of the family who live in residential areas and slums in Boyolali District as many as 100 sample respondents. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. The results obtained are housing areas and slums in Boyolali District are included in the category of mild slums. The characteristics of housing and slum areas in Boyolali District are due to environmental degradation such as damaged roads, clogged drainage channels, poor solid waste management, and the absence of waste management. fire protection. The level of welfare of families living in housing areas and slums in Boyoali District are mostly prosperous families with a frequency of 77% while the other 23% are families who are not yet prosperous. The distribution map of the welfare level explains that the overall sample respondents who live in slum areas located in Winong Village are prosperous families with a frequency of 20% from 100%. As many as 7% of respondents who live in slum areas in Pulisen Village are third-level prosperous families. The slum area in Winong Village has families who are not yet prosperous as much as 12% of the total number of respondents. Slum areas in Penggung Village each have a family that is not yet prosperous as much as 3%.
