Abstract

The optimum education is a dream of every stakeholder education, be it managing, educational, student, parent/guardian/protege, and so on. It is not surprising, therefore, that the world of education continues to receive special attention from all elements of society, as it has considerable influence on the birth of human resources in a country, Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh is one of them. The long-distance learning (Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh), commonly known as this online study, was not mass until the outbreak of the Covid 19 that would require limited activity. The Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh quality that requires learning is long distances, so the use of media as a mediator between educators and learners makes it a crucial role. And this research was conducted with the aim of illustrating/describing the effectiveness of long-distance learning by using audio-visual media as an effective medium for long-distance study in the country's junior high school pulses. The type of research that was applied was experimental research, with a total of 45 sample study subjects, which split into 2 class groups, an experimental class group, and a control class group. As for its analysis using Mann Whitney's test done by the SPSS process. The results from this study suggest that the use of visually audio media as a medium in long-distance studies in country junior high school isn't effective, with a 23% level of effectiveness making it into an ineffective category
