Abstract

The objectivies of this study is to describe the planning, preparation of trainers, implementation, and evaluation of scout extracurricular activities in building student character at SDIT Taruna Robbani Tawangmangu. This type of research is qualitative with interview techniques, documentation and observation. The conclusions of this study are: 1) The character building in SDIT Taruna Rabbani Tawangmangu is accustomed to the Scout extra-curricular which includes 18 characters starting with the preparation of the Scout's vision, mission and extra-curricular goals. Achievements through syllabus management, Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), 2) Scout coaches are delegated based on their minimum competence, namely having a certificate / diploma of the Basic Independent Course (KMD), experience, activeness and loyalty in fostering Scouting activities, 3) Scouting extra-curricular activities are carried out in the environment. school and outside of school. Religious character is achieved by habituating ablution, praying in congregation, reading the Koran, sharing with others, rigging, camping and exploring nature. The character of tolerance is achieved by cultural activities of queuing for ablution, queuing for food, prioritizing elders, cooking, singing national and regional songs, looking for traces, making cubits of work, helping others in need. Honest character is achieved through cooking practices, sharing with others, coding and semaphore practices, leadership education and training. Characters like reading are achieved through activities in scouting ceremonies, reading code books and semaphore, ways of deliberation, expressing opinions, making wall magazines, 4) All activities starting from planning, appointment of supervisors are evaluated by the school represented by the Principal including evaluation of the syllabus, RPP, the presence of coaches and enhancement of coach competencies. Evaluation by parents / guardians of students by inviting them to formal activities at school and active participation in activities with students during scouting activities. Evaluation of the achievement of student character is carried out at the end of each semester and at the end of the school year with qualitative assessments.
