Abstract
Dynamics of Psychology, UMKM, Covid-19 In 2018 the Kemenkop MSME explained that not a few MSME business institutions felt that inflation in the capital spent was not commensurate with the cost of production and the demand for them was decreasing. MSMEs reduced production during the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) due to COVID-19 with the lowest decline of around 39.9 percent. This study aims to find out how the dynamics of MSME actors during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research method uses a qualitative phenomenological approach to analyze how the psychological dynamics of MSME actors affected by Covid-19. The results of this study were conducted on 4 MSME actors who have micro business criteria with a net worth of 50,000,000 (fifty million rupiah) and annual sales of 300,000,000 (three hundred million rupiah) and in the Surakarta area. The results of the study can be concluded that the Covid-19 pandemic resulted in a very significant decrease in income, causing a change in the psychological dynamics experienced by some respondents. In terms of business, the four respondents experienced a decrease in profits when COVID-19 occurred, even 2 out of 4 respondents experienced a total closure, this initially caused various negative emotions such as stress, fear, and worry in each respondent. However, along with the loosening of regulations from the central government with the enactment of the New Normal, the efforts of the four respondents slowly began to show recovery. In the process, the four respondents received support from their families, and belief in the values they believe in so as to motivate respondents to persist and develop to face the COVID-19 pandemic situation. From this research, it can be seen that the higher the pressure or negative situation experienced, the more it triggers the enthusiasm of respondents to innovate, while respondents who are not too pressured in their business do not show any innovation in the process of dealing with the Covid-19 situation. Support from the people around and the respondent's internal motivation also play an important role in the respondent's decision making. 2 respondents also indicated that they switched professions to support the family economy while maintaining their MSME businesses.
