Abstract
This study aims to determine the direct effect of self-efficacy and work motivation on student work readiness, as well as the indirect effect of self-efficacy and work motivation on student work readiness through work interest. The population of this study were students of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta and the sample studied was 395 respondents. The sampling technique used the slovin formula. The data analysis technique used is SEM-PLS whose calculations are assisted by the Smart-PLS 3.2.9 program. model analysis is done by analyzing the outer model and inner model. The results of the analysis show that self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on work readiness, positive and significant self-efficacy on work interest, positive work motivation is not significant on work readiness, positive work motivation is significant on work interest, positive work interest is significant on work readiness, self-efficacy and positive work motivation significantly on student work readiness through work interest as an intervening variable.
