Abstract

This study aims to examine the efficiency of drug management in a Type C hospital in the Surakarta area. The variables used are input variables including the number of pharmacists, pharmacy technical staff, availability of funds, service rooms, and storage rooms while the output variables include income, number of drugs sold, waiting time, number of outpatient and emergency room prescriptions and number of inpatient prescriptions. The samples used were 6 Type C hospitals in the Surakarta area. Data collection is generated by the financial statements of each company in 2020. The method of analysis is DEA. The findings show that using an alternative analysis scheme 1-7 shows that the analysis of RS 6 is not yet efficient, while 5 other hospitals such RS ); RS2; RS 3; RS 4; and RS 5 is considered efficient and in alternative 4 scheme there is an additional inefficient hospital, namely RS 1, so it is necessary to minimize input and maximize output.
