Abstract

The growth of minimarkets continues to increase every year. The growth of the minimarket has grown not only in the city center, but has expanded to the outskirts of the city. This fairly rapid growth often does not pay attention to the distance from the traditional market so that it will have an impact to traders in traditional markets. Based on these reasons, this research aims to determine the distribution of minimarkets in the Regency of Klaten, analyzing the impact of the proximity of the minimarket location to the market traditional markets, and analyze potential violations of minimarket locations based on Klaten District Regulation. The object in this research is the traditional market and minimarkets with networked management systems such as Alfamart and Indomaret in Klaten Regency. The method of data collection that used in this research, namely by field surveys, through related, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in This research uses the OD-Cost Matrix method to determine the distance between minimarket locations to traditional markets and networked minimarket locations with other networked minimarkets. The results showed that: The distribution of minimarkets in Klaten Regency is not evenly distributed, minimarkets are spread out following the main road such as arterial roads and collector roads, which roads connect Klaten Regency with regencies around Klaten Regency. Proximity the location of minimarkets with traditional markets has a negative impact on turnover, revenue, and number of customers. The results of the analysis of the distance between minimarket locations network with traditional markets, it is known that 11% of minimarkets in Klaten Regency had the potential to violate the Klaten Regency Regulation, while the results of the analysis of the distance between the location of networked minimarkets with other networked minimarkets is known that 26% of minimarkets in Klaten Regency had the potential to violate the Klaten Regency Regulation.
