Abstract

Cultivation of coffee plants needs to be done, especially in various regions in Indonesia. This is related to the increasing demand for coffee. This is also a special concern for the Pati Regency government. In Pati regency, the yields of the crops have decreased, the yields are very bad. Many coffee beans are not able to grow, causing farmers to lose money. The instability of the coffee harvest in Pati Regency. Thus, studies related to land suitability, especially for coffee plants, are an important step for land preservation and for optimal land use with maximum productivity results. Through this description, the authors are interested in conducting research related to the suitability of land for coffee plants in Gembong District, Pati Regency. The objectives to be achieved (1) Analyze land characteristics and land suitability classes for coffee plants in Gembong District, Pati Regency, (2) Analyze limiting factors at the sub-class level for coffee plants in Gembong District, Pati Regency. The survey method used was a sampling technique in the form of simple random sampling or random based on land units. The data processing technique is in the form of matching and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results obtained by the land suitability class of the study area are divided into two, namely "Sufficiently Suitable" and "Suitable for Marginal". Sufficiently suitable class (S2) consists of land units S5 ALG III K, S5 ALG III SH, V4 ML III K, V4 ML III SH, V4 ML III T, V6 ML II K, V6 ML II SH, and V6 ML III SH. According to the marginal (S3), it consists of land units V2 MG IV H, V4 MG IV K, V4 MG IV SH, and V4 MG IV T.
