Abstract

The role of religon educations in schools and the role of parents at home are important foundations in shaping character education that focuses on the religious character of children. This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis. Collecting data through interviews, observation and documentation. With data sources, the principal of SDIT Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Lemahabang, the Level V teacher council and the parents of class V students. This study took a sample of class V SDIT Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Lemahabang. The purpose of this study is to describe: 1) How is the implementation of the religious guidance program at school 2) The role of parents in religious education at home and 3) Integration between character education at school and parents at home.The results showed that: 1) The religious program carried out by SDIT Al Irsyad Al Islamiyyah Lemahabang Cirebon went well such as praying Dhuha together, Dzuhur prayer in congregation, Asr prayer in congregation, BTQ, and memorizing the Qur'an. 2) The role of parents at home who always provide character education consciously or unconsciously in the application of manners by providing examples of good behavior in the process when the child is at home. 3) The integration of the two models of character education is considered to have an impact on the religious character of students, namely Aqidah, Morals and Worship of children. Not only has an impact on religious characters, but also has an impact on other characters such as responsibility, discipline and tolerance.
