Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO), limits the incidence of stunting that occurs in every country, province and district by 20%. While in Indonesia the incidence of stunting is still quite high, reaching 30.8% in 2018, which is still a health problem that must be addressed with the risk factor of gender, parity and maternal age. This study aimed to determine the correlation between gender, parity and maternal age with the incidence of stunting in children aged 6-23 months using secondary data analysis at Puskesmas Gondangrejo. This research was quantitative research with a sectional using secondary data. The sampling technique used systematic random sampling with a sample of 100 respondents. The research instrument used data on weight, body length, maternal age, gender, and number of parity. Data analysis method using Chi-Square. The results of the study of the sex of male toddlers at Puskesmas Gondangrejo were 60.00%, still found mothers with parity at risk of 8.00%, and mothers with age at risk of 12.00%. There was no relationship between gender, parity and maternal age with stunting in children under five with p-value (0,595); (0,585); dan (1,00). It is hoped that by providing counseling to mothers of toddlers regarding the impact of stunting on toddlers, it is hoped that the stunting rate at the Gondangrejo Health Center can be reduced.
