Abstract

Background: According to data at the physiostore clinic in Tulungagung from September to November 2020, 17 of 62 patients with ischialgia had sciatica. From observations and interviews at the physiostore clinic, several patients there who often complain are pain, stiffness, tingling, a feeling like being electrocuted from the lower back to the legs and from only ischialgia complaints, the main problem is pain radiating to the legs which often occurs which interferes with performing activity makes the quality of activity also decreases. Objective: to determine the effect of giving nerve mobilization after standard intervention to reduce pain. Methods: This research is a quasi-experimental approach with a single subject research method ABABA design with a research sample of 3 people. giving different treatment for each subject 6 times for 14 days. Subject A with standard intervention + nerve mobilization, subject B with standard intervention (US and TENS), and subject C with only nerve mobilization. Collecting research data using several techniques such as observation, interviews, documentation, and examination using the NRS scale will then go through descriptive analysis in the form of graphs and tables.. Results: The results of this study on silent pain in NRS from baseline A1 to A3, among others, subject A decreased by 3 points, subject B decreased by 3 points and subject C decreased by 2 points. In NRS motion pain from baseline A1 to A3, among others, subject A decreased by 3 points, subject B decreased by 2 points, subject C decreased by 2 point. Conclusion: The result of the analysis of this thesis research is that the addition of nerve mobilization after the standard does not provide a difference in pain reduction in silent pain complaints. Whereas in motion pain, the addition of nerve mobilization after standard intervention provides a better difference in pain reduction in complaints of motion pain
