Abstract

Abrasion is the process of breaking down or aggregates in this case aggregates due to mechanical processes with tools that break the Los Angeles machine, with the assumption that the material will accept the forces that occur during the process of implementing concrete construction, road construction (filling, laying, compacting). The value of rock strength or wear (aggregate) which is one of the absolute requirements for concrete mixes. This study aims to determine the abrasion presentation of what type of aggregate has a major influence on compressive strength, split tensile strength, absorption in concrete. The aims of this study were: To find out what the values of compressive strength, split tensile strength, absorption in a concrete cylinder with the specified requirements are, to find out whether the difference in presenting abrasion can affect the compressive strength, split tensile strength and absorption of concrete, to find out whether abrasion affects the strength of the concrete. concrete mix value. In this study, three types of aggregates, both coarse and fine, were used from 3 different mining locations, namely Weru (Sukoharjo), Seloputro (Wonogiri), Pare (Wonogiri). Based on the results of the inspection data, it is obtained that the abrasion value for each quarry has a different value, the Weru quarry has an abrasion value of 33.76%, then the Seloputro quarry has an abrasion value of 30.37% and the Pare quarry has an abrasion value of 26.91%. The results of the compressive strength test on the test object in the form of a concrete cylinder at the age of 28 days with a comparison of each quarry from Seloputro of 15.69 MPa. then from Pare of 16.93 MPa. Weru dam is 14.72 MPa, then for the results of the split tensile strength test on the concrete cylinder specimen when it is 28 days old, it can be seen that the seloputro quarry has an average split tensile strength of 14.80 MPa, then for the bitter melon quarry it has an average value of 14.80 MPa. The average value is 15.34 MPa and for the Weru quarry it has an average value of 12.73 MPa and the results of the water absorption test on the 28-day-old test object show that it can be concluded that the sample from the Pare quarry has an abrasion value of 26 ,96% has an absorption power of 2.52%, then Seloputro which has an abrasion value of 30.27% has an absorption power of 3.29% and Weru which has an abrasion value of 33.88% has an absorption power of 3.93%.
