Abstract

Health is an important factor in human daily life. In maintaining health, the health department creates a public health unit, one of which is the puskesmas. Sumpiuh 1 Health Center is the first facility that supports public health in order to always be healthy and able to carry out daily activities in the Sumpiuh sub-district. Unfortunately, there is a lack of facilities that become an obstacle to service in the community, namely medical records. Medical records at the Sumpiuh 1 health center still use paper media, therefore a system called electronic medical record was designed. This study aims to develop an electronic medical record system that can manage patient data and history and convert the data into excel or printout. The benefits are expected to ease the work of medical officers in recording and archiving patient medical record data, reducing errors, and being easy to access and analyze. Researchers in developing this system use the waterfall model software development life cycle (SDLC). The stages include requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, installation and maintenance. This electronic medical record was developed using the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework version 8 and the database uses MySQL. In testing this system, blackbox and system usability scale (SUS) are used. Testing the blackbox method shows the system runs according to its functionality and the system usability scale (SUS) gets an average score of 79.1667 and is carried out by 39 respondents with 25 respondents working in fields related to medical records. Therefore, this system can be accepted and is said to be in the very good category for users.
