Abstract

Abstract The IMM cadre process during the COVID-19 pandemic was all online and/or hybrid based, so in its implementation the perceived obstacles were lack of emotion in cadre, not familiar with cadres and leaders, difficult signals and limited internet quota. This causes disorientation of the organization because it is only based on the media, lack of communication, lack of cooperation, difficulty in networking and difficulty in getting cadres. The purpose of this study is to describe the grit of members and to find out the factors that influence the grit of members in carrying out the cadre of IMM Surakarta City Branch during the covid 19 pandemic. This research question is about how the description of the grit of IMM members in carrying out cadre during the covid 19 pandemic and the what factors affect the grit of IMM members in carrying out cadre during the covid 19 pandemic. The number of informants is 4 people through purposive sampling technique with criteria for members from the cadre field and Instructor corps, following Darul Arqam Madya or not and active members for 4 leadership periods at IMM Surakarta City. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods through semi-structured interviews that refer to guideline interviews with an interpretive thematic analysis approach. The results of this study are the grit of IMM members is described by the ability to survive, be able to overcome obstacles, have goals, have effort, be consistent and diligent, have hope, be able to take lessons and gain new experiences in running IMM cadre. The factors that influence the grit of IMM members are consistency, grit, loyalty, obstacles and support for the duties and responsibilities of carrying out IMM cadre during the covid 19 pandemic.
