Abstract

The Precast concrete structure is a construction method that has advantages in terms of speed, convenience, and quality control of concrete in implementation. The structure of the International Islamic Boarding School Karanganyar building has been designed using the cast-in-place method with reinforced concrete material. This building will be redesigned using the precast method. Structural elements that will be designed in precast are slabs, main beams, and child beams. Meanwhile, other elements such as stairs and columns are planned to be cast in place. The connection system that will be used in the redesign of this building is wet. when compared to dry connections (non topping) such as mechanical connections and wedding connections which are quite complicated. For wet joints in the joint area, reinforcement is given which is calculated based on the length of distribution and overpass joints. In addition, friction shear calculations are also carried out, namely the shear of concrete of different ages between precast concrete and topping concrete so that the slab is monolithic in one unit with structural integrity.
