Abstract

Furniture is a household furniture that is used to store goods, a seat, a bed, or a place to write in the form of a table, chair or place to put objects on it. Production is also a factor in the creation of products with the right quality and time. In general, the production system in Indonesia can still be found in several activities that still use manual material handling (MMH) activities. Manual Material Handling (MMH) is the process of manually bringing either materials or products in the industrial sector. This industrial accident can result in damage to body tissues caused by excessive lifting loads and will cause pain, this in ergonomics is called musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). work posture analysis. One of the work posture analysis methods is to use the Quick Exposure Check (QEC) method. From the test results using the Quick Exposure Check (QEC) method, it can be seen that there are still errors in the work process at several work stations, namely at the cutting, spindle, and assembly work stations. And proposed improvements in the form of design changes and the addition of work aids so that the body posture approaches normal so that the level of risk can be reduced.
