Abstract

Human life on earth certainly cannot be separated from the rules or sharia of the Qur'an, including ta'awun. There are so many verses that discuss ta'awun in the Qur'an, one of which is Surah al-Maidah (5): 2. One way for humans to be able to maintain their lives is by working together and helping each other in the context of adjustment. Towards others and the environment so that harmonious social relations are always created. Please help in society to be an inseparable part of people's daily lives. However, along with the development of society, various forms of challenges began to be encountered in carrying out a multicultural life. This study aims to determine the meaning and implementation of Surah al-Maidah (5): 2 in the Social Welfare Institution for the Orphans of 'Aisyiyah, Karanganyar. The definition of ta'awun in the Al-Ma'ani dictionary has the meaning of helping each other, helping each other, working together, supporting each other, expanding each other, supporting each other, and helping each other. Ta'awun is also a masdar form of the word ta'awana which means gathering to help each other, support, synergy to do this help. When viewed in social life, ta'awun behavior is very much needed because it has a big influence on community development, both individually and in groups. In the interpretation of al-Mishbah, ta'awun in Surah al-Maidah (5): 2 is more emphasized on understanding mutual assistance in doing virtue, namely all forms and kinds of things that lead to worldly and or hereafter benefits and also mutual help. In piety, namely all efforts that can avoid worldly disasters and or hereafter, even with people who do not believe. The type of research used is qualitative-descriptive research. The results showed that the ta'awun tradition carried out at LKSA 'Aisyiyah Karanganyar never escaped the basis of the Qur'an. The meaning and implementation of ta'awun letter al-Maidah (5): 2 is so obvious in every internal and external activity that involves the community around LKSA 'Aisyiyah Karanganyar and has referred to the interpretation of al-Mishbah. Harmonious relations with the surrounding community must always be maintained by caregivers, musrifah, and foster children of LKSA 'Aisyiyah Karanganyar in creating good synergy.
