Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Jigsaw learning strategy to train critical thinking for Adi Sumarmo Colomadu vocational high school (SMK) students in class X Computer Networking Engineering (TKJ) for the 2020/2021 academic year in learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education through the Jigsaw strategy. This study uses quantitative methods. The research design using research with an experimental approach is a study that seeks to find the effect of certain variables on other variables under tightly controlled conditions. Data collection techniques using tests and observations. The research instrument test in the form of validity using the product moment correlation formula with a significance level of 5% obtained a price of 0.444 using the KR.20 formula with a result of 0.561. Test requirements in the form of normality test using Lilliefors, linearity test and homogeneity test. Data analysis used Paired Sample T-test. The results showed that the prerequisite test used the Lilifors normality test for the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental class, the linearity test on the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental class, and the homogeneity test of the pretest and posttest scores of the experimental class that the data variance is equally distributed or homogeneous. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the validity and reliability tests in this research have met the requirements. Hypothesis testing with Paired Sample T-test. Quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics. The results of this study are the effectiveness of the Jigsaw learning strategy can be seen from the average results of the pretest 23.00 and posttest of 61.25 with a total of 20 questions. The Jigsaw learning strategy is able to train students' Critical Thinking with the results of the hypothesis that tcount is greater than ttable (45,912 > 1,720).
