Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of educational background and teaching experience on the ability to stimulate children's development. (2) Amount of effective contribution (3) Amount of relative contribution. This research is quantitative descriptive. The population of this study were all formal PAUD teachers in Betung District, Banyuasin Regency, Indonesia, totaling 40 teachers from 16 PAUD institutions. Determination of the sample using the Taro Yamene formula so that a sample of 28 teachers was obtained. Sampling technique using random sampling. Data on educational background and teaching experience were collected through documents. Stimulating skills data were collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate: (1) there is a positive influence of educational background and teaching experience on the ability of teachers to stimulate children's development. (2) the effective contribution of educational background is 13% and teaching experience is 85%. (3) the relative contribution of educational background is 13.3% and teaching experience is 86.7%.
