Abstract

The Covid-19 virus pandemic has made conventional learning systems carried out by teachers slowly replaced by learning applications during the distance learning process. In the process of implementing distance learning, it does not run smoothly, there are several problems that arise along with the implementation. The problems that arise in the distance learning process for Islamic Religious Education subjects arise from teachers, students, and parents of students. So with the emergence of this problem, it is necessary to find a solution to solve it. Considering that Islamic Religious Education is something that is very much needed in social life, because with the provision of Islamic Religious Education it can foster students to become religious, moral, and dignified human beings. This study aims to describe the implementation of distance learning, identify problems that arise during the implementation of distance learning, identify solutions that are carried out to solve problems in the implementation of distance learning for Islamic Religious Education class VII subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Jumapolo. This research is a type of qualitative research, so that in conducting data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis methods. As for the data collection using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out in three ways, namely data reduction, data presentation, and verification or conclusion. To ensure the validity of the data in this study, it can be checked using triangulation techniques. The results of this study found that the process of implementing distance learning was carried out in accordance with the lesson plans made by Islamic Religious Education subject teachers with initial activities, core activities, and closing activities. The problems that arise when implementing distance learning are the difficulty of internet access, there are students who do not have cellphones, student boredom with online learning, student abilities, and lack of coordination between students and parents. For solutions in overcoming the problems of implementing distance learning, namely the need for good coordination between school principals and teachers, coordination between one subject (subject) teacher and another subject (subject), coordination between teachers and parents of students, availability of facilities learning infrastructure, and finally a home visit.
