Abstract

The problems studied in this study are (1) the intrinsic elements contained in the novel and film Jilbab Traveler Love Spark in Korea by Asma Nadia and (2) the ecranization process that appears at the stages of characters and plots in the novel and film. Hijab Traveler Love Spark in Korea by Asma Nadia. The purposes of this study are (1) to describe the intrinsic elements contained in the novel and film Jilbab Traveler Love Spark in Korea by Asma Nadia and (2) to describe the process of ecranization that appears at the stages of the characters and plots in the novel and film Jilbab Traveler. Love Spark in Korea by Asma Nadia. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The sources and data in this study are the novel Jilbab Traveler Love Spark in Korea and the film Jilbab Traveler Love Spark in Korea. Data collection techniques used in the form of library techniques. The validity of the data is done by data triangulation technique. The data analysis technique consists of three streams of activities that occur simultaneously, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing verification. The results of this study indicate (1) the intrinsic elements of novels and films, namely themes, characters and characterizations, plot, setting, point of view, language style, and mandate and (2) the process of ecranization occurs in the elements of characters and plots because of the media used in the film. in making novels and films differently. Overall, the shrinkage is due to the omission of stories, characters and plots in parts that are not so important to show. The addition of characters and plots in the film is made as attractive as possible as a whole is still relevant to the story in the novel, only the visualization in the film is made more interesting with many story conflicts, additional characters and plots are raised so that the story in the film does not monotone in the novel.
