Abstract

One form of non-formal education is tutoring, tutoring is a form of learning activity carried out outside the school environment which has the aim of providing additional understanding of material to students. In connection with the COVID-19 pandemic which forced formal teaching and learning activities to be temporarily suspended and had an impact on stopping all activities that could cause crowds, including teaching and learning activities at schools, the author carried out the process of developing a mobile-based tutoring application. This application offers an online-based learning platform using smartphone or offline media according to the agreement. Application development uses the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with the Waterfall model. The application is built using the PHP programming language, laravel framework, bootstrap framework, xampp 3.2.4 which is used to create a local server. The testing carried out is the black box method which tests each feature that can run according to the needs and expectations of the developer. In the SUS test, the average score is 84.5 and therefore included in the acceptable classification. The results of the research are a mobile-based tutoring ordering application that has the features of making course offers, course search, course purchases, and disbursement of supervisor salaries, all of which can be done online.
