Abstract

Indonesia consists of 2 seasons, namely the rainy and dry seasons. One of the economic activities affected by these two seasons is the drying of paint. So far, the main source of drying paint is only using sunlight, during the rainy season the drying process is often delayed. In addition, the natural process with the help of sunlight is also susceptible to air humidity and dust, humidity will cause a relatively longer drying time. Drying paint in open spaces is often contaminated with dust, causing the paint to be less glossy. Drying paint does not always have to use the sun because the sun's temperature often changes and the weather is difficult to predict, how to overcome this can be overcome by making a tool that changes drying outside to inside a room. This study designed an oven box to help the paint drying process, an iot-based automatic paint dryer, the oven box is related to the drying process by maintaining cleanliness and maintaining the temperature in the room. The components in the oven box are in the form of a heater as a heater, a blower to even out the heat in the room for smooth circulation, a temperature sensor as a circuit breaker. This tool is also equipped with a 16x2 led (liquid crystal display) for timer monitoring, this equipment is equipped with a timer to determine the drying time, this timer is controlled remotely via the blynk application on the smartphone. This blynk application also functions to monitor the temperature of the equipment developed, in this study it is still a prototype. The test results of the iot-based automatic paint dryer give very satisfactory results, such as temperature settings and timers that can be set either manually or automatically. The heater can work automatically to keep the heat in the box right according to the design. The results of the heater and temperature sensor research have met the performance, for example the temperature in the box if it reaches 80 degrees the heater performance will stop, then if the temperature in the box drops 4-5 degrees the heater will automatically turn on again. The average standard deviation difference is below 5.
