Abstract
The COVID 19 pandemic has transformed the education system in the world. Online-based learning is applied during this period due to the rapid spread of the infection. The online learning system, especially in Indonesia, is relatively new both for teachers and students. Therefore, quick adaptation is needed for them. Subjects that require practical activities like geography needs more effort. Teachers of geography should have the ability to explain material using interesting online media that makes students keep interested and understand. Teachers with good digital literacy might able to do this task, but others might difficult, depending on their literacy level and skill. The purpose of the research is to know the relationship between the digital literacy of geography teachers and the interest in teaching online, knowing the platforms, strategies, constraints and media used when online learning geography teachers. The method used is antiative with a non-experimental design, using primary data. The method of data collection is a survey with purposive sampling techniques with 60 respondents of geography teachers spread across Indonesia. The analysis technique used is Pearson Correlation. The results of the study obtained (1) Pearson Correlation was employed to reveal the correlation of both variables. The results of the study presented that the coefficient of correlation is 0.761, with a confidence level of 99% (α=0.01). We found that the digital literacy of geography teachers correlates positively to the interest to conduct online teaching (2) The strategy of implementing online learning consists of opening, core and closing 34) The constraints of geography teachers during carrying out the most online learning are the problem of poor internet network.
