Abstract

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants in which water is used as the medium. The goal of this study was to see how well a liquid organic fertilizer containing bamboo leaf litter and banana stem dregs affected lettuce (Lactuca sativa l.) growth and calcium content in hydroponic conditions. The Green House of Biology Education was the site of this study, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 repetitions and two factors, namely the concentration of POC administration used PO (POC 0%). P1 (POC 12%), P2 (POC 15%). P3 (20% POC) and time interval for W1 POC administration (2 days). W2 (4 days. The results obtained from this study are known that the average plant growth which includes plant height, number of leaves and plant wet weight is best in P3W2 treatment (20% POC, every 4 days) with an average plant height growth of 3.3 cm, the number of leaves is 9 pieces, the wet weight of lettuce is 0.276 g, and has a calcium content of 7 mg/100 g of lettuce. The lowest plant growth was in the 0% POC POWI treatment, every 2 days) with an average plant height growth of 1.6 cm, the number of leaves as much as 1 strand, the wet weight of lettuce is 0.05 g. Based on the results of the study, it showed that there was a significant (significant) effect on the various concentrations and timing of POC administration of the combination of bamboo leaf litter and banana stem on the growth of lettuce plants, namely on plant height, number of leaves, wet weight and calcium content of lettuce plants.
