Abstract

Torque Converter is a power train component that works hydraulically or utilizes the kinetic power of hydraulic oil, where the torque converter is installed between the engine and transmission. The inspection procedure is carried out by performing a performance test, a visual inspection is also carried out on all components of the unit related to the torque converter itself. Furthermore, analysis of the type of damage to the torque converter and the factors that cause damage to the torque converter is performed. From the results of the damage analysis, the torque converter experiences wear, which is caused by rubbing between the turbine and the impeller, because the bearings in the torque are worn or damaged because it has been too long and the possibility of working the unit that exceeds the capacity can be a factor of bearing wear or being damaged.
