Abstract

Learning is inseparable from the role of a teacher, especially with the change of face-to-face learning into distance learning in the era of the covid 19 pandemic. This is a challenge for educators in the pandemic period by optimizing learning through online media so that the learning process can run in accordance with educational goals. This research has the goal of describing (1) the strategies used by class I teachers in optimizing the learning of the covid19 pandemic era at MI Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura; (2) the problems faced by class I teachers in optimizing the learning of the covid19 pandemic era at MI Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura; (3) solutions in overcoming the problems faced by class I teachers in optimizing the learning of the covid19 pandemic era at MI Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura. Research uses qualitative methods with descriptive designs. The research location is MI Muhammadiyah PK Kartasura, Sukoharjo. The sources involved are the Head of Madrasah, Teacher Class I, and Class I Learners. Data collection techniques with interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by data reduction, presentation of data, and then withdrawal of conclusions / verification. Data collection techniques use source triangulation. The results of this study show that: (1) the strategies used by teachers in dealing with learning era pandemic covid19 that is distance learning by using platform applications such as: WhatsApp, Zoom, and Google Form with time management that has been adjusted to the current conditions. (2) Problems encountered in the implementation of strategies to optimize learning in the era of pandemic covid 19 are unstable or bad signal factors, parents of learners who cannot accompany children to learn and the lack of teacher ability to use technology or learning media. (3) efforts or solutions in dealing with these problems are with solutions to find Wi-Fi or a better signal location, form coordination between teachers and learners, develop teacher talents and innovations in using technology and learning media.
