Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out that justice is appropriate for the struggle of common people in the Lost Girls movie. Sociology of literature theory is used to analyze the interconnection between material objects and the issue. The type of this study is a literary study that focuses on the academic field. The qualitative descriptive method is used to analyze this study. This study consists of two data sources. Primary data is Lost Girls movie directed by Liz Garbus. Secondary data are E-books, articles, E-thesis, and the internet. This study obtained three results, as follows: first is the indicator of the struggle for justice in the movie, which consists of striving to equalize opportunities to be investigated, opposing police abuse, obtaining the freedom of speech, and supporting public awareness. Second is the struggle for justice reflected in the movie depicted through characters, events, and setting. Liz Garbus, as the director, addressed the struggle for justice in the movie because she had always been interested in the justice issue
