Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of speed and agility to the dribbling ability of the football players of the Pandanaran Boyolali Center in 2021. To calculate the contribution of speed to dribbling ability, agility to dribbling ability and simultaneously. The research method in this study is a comparative quantitative type using 3 variables, namely 2 independent variables and 1 dependent variable. The basis of this research is to find the contribution between the independent variables, namely speed and agility to the dependent variable, namely dribbling ability. The population used were all soccer players from the Pandanaran Boyolali Center, which amounted to 72 people. Consisting of U-14 totaling 49 players and U-16 totaling 23 players. The sample used is U-16 players by purposive sampling taken a sample of 16 players. The test instruments in this study were the 60 meter sprint test and the shuttle run test and the dribbling ability test. The results of this study are that there is a contribution of speed to the dribbling ability of the Puslat Pandanaran Boyolali soccer players by 29,8%, there is a contribution of agility to dribbling ability of 56,7% and there is a contribution of speed and agility simultaneously to dribbling ability of 59,5%.
