Abstract

The purpose of this study is to: (1) Describe the role of women workers in the development of product innovation of super ledre at Padangan Subdistrict. (2) Describe the obstacles and solutions of the women workers in developing super ledre product innovation at Padangan Subdistrict. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The subjects of this study were the owners and women workers of home industry Ledre Super. The object of this research is home industry Ledre Super.Data analysis techniques by means of data reduction, data presentation, conclusion withdrawal and verification. The data validity technique used is the triangulation of the source. The results of this study show that: 1) The Production, the women workers has a role to choose raw materials that have good quality, executing or processing ledre innovation ideas. Innovation is done by adding flavor variants and making modifications to the ledre form. Barriers in the production section include difficulty finding quality raw materials, very complex innovation raw materials, traditional production tools. Solutions carried out by the women workers to overcome these obstacles by optimizing production activities, following training from business owners, and modifying production tools. 2) The packaging, women workers plays a role in packaging using plastik and cardboard packaging, quality control of ledre product packaging, giving expiration dates, and presentation suggestions in packaging. The obstacle in the packaging part is that the plastic wrapping is not covered properly. Solutions of women workers to overcome these obstacles by doing quality control of ledre packaging. Conclusion, thus the role of the women woerkers in the development of super ledre product innovation at Padangan District, Bojonegoro is to play a role in the production and packaging section.
