Abstract

Human development is one indicator of the progress of a country. The human development index is a tool to measure the success of human development based on a number of basic components of quality of life. This study aims to analyze the effect of regional original income (PAD), general allocation funds (DAU), special allocation funds (DAK), and education function expenditures on the human development index in the districts/cities of Central Java in 2017-2018. The method of this research is purposive sampling. The population used is the province of Central Java, obtained 29 districts and 6 cities for the 2017-2018 period. The data analysis method in this study was carried out using descriptive statistical tests, classical assumption tests, heteroscedasticity tests, multicollinearity tests, and hypothesis testing with multiple linear regression tests, t tests, f tests, and R Square tests. The results of the study indicate that local revenue, general allocation funds have an effect on the human development index. Meanwhile, special allocation funds and expenditure on education functions have no effect on the human development index.
