Abstract

During the pandemic, many people whose main job was as traders around the UMS campus experienced a decline in turnover due to the covid- 19 pandemic. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the resilience of traders around the UMS campus during the covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Participants in this study amounted to 3 male sex with an age range of 22-33 years. 1 person is married and 2 people are not married, trading from before the pandemic until the pandemic, and the main job is as a trader. Collecting data with semi-structured interviews. The results of this study indicate that there is resilience in traders around the UMS campus during the pandemic by continuing to trade because they face it gratefully if capital difficulties seek capital loans at the bankada who can deal with it because the demands of needs that must be met are faced with patience, and some face it by changing measure on the product and with gratitude. What makes them survive is because they are worried that they will lose their place of merchandise, already have customers, and some want to ease the burden on their parents. From before the pandemic, where incomes ranged from 4 million, 5 million to 3 million rupiah, turnover decreased to a range of around 2 million, 3 million, to 1 million rupiah during the pandemic, some initial trading experience due to leaving work was introduced. Brothers to meet business owners, and get to know the campus environment. There are 2 respondents who have side jobs such as airbrushing, servicing AC to reselling waste from coconuts for reptile mats
