Abstract
Role is the attitude of a person who has a status or position in the community. Meanwhile, the mosque management is an association of people who are in an organization at a mosque with the general objective of making the mosque prosperous through a program of religious activities made from each field for the congregation. This study discusses how the role of mosque administrators in fostering religious activities and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors for mosque administrators in fostering religious activities in the Ar-rahman mosque in Makamhaji Village.This research is qualitative in nature, by taking the place and the subject at the mosque Ar-rahman, Makamhaji Village. Data collection was carried out by interview, observation and documentation. For data analysis, deductive method is used. Then to ensure the validity of the data that has been obtained, this is done by triangulating techniques, sources and time.Based on the results of the research, it has been found: (1) The role of the management of the Ar-rahman mosque in Makamhaji Village in fostering religious activities can be viewed from two aspects, namely (a) in the aspect of the direction of the mosque management, it has a maximal role in fostering and inviting good congregation In terms of worship and religious activities in mosques, (b) in the aspect of ideal direction, mosque administrators have good cooperation among mosque administrators and congregations because the activity management system is good and in accordance with the written structural. However, it has not been said to be maximal because of the lack of cleanliness and there are still activity programs that do not have a written schedule. (2) There is a supporting factor in fostering religious activities for the congregation of the Ar-rahman mosque in Makamhaji Village, namely the motivation that comes from the mosque management in particular and the congregation in general will be aware of carrying out worship to Allah SWT. Then there is good cooperation and communication between the mosque administrators and the congregation. (3) There are also inhibiting factors, namely there are still some communities in the mosque environment who lack self-awareness in carrying out worship activities at the mosque, lack of good time management from mosque administrators who are scheduled to fill study activities and there is a ban from the government to limit activities that cause crowds. because of Covid-19.
