Abstract

CV. Okabawes Karya Logam is a metal foundry company in Ceper, Klaten, Central Java, Indonesia that still uses conventional printing presses. This study focuses on designing a clamp saddle pattern using a cnc router machine with cast iron material. The reverse engineering method is the method used in making the clamp saddle pattern. The application of this reverse engineering method resulted in changes to the thread hole parts which are slimmer and have a clear identity and the boards can be disassembled. In the von misses test, the yield strength value of the material is 551485000 N/m2 and has a safety factor of 0.0051 then the costing solidwork obtained a total cost of 229.42 USD/pattern. In the operation process chart analysis, the total time is 75.38 hours and there are 2 assembly processes based on the assembly process chart. The results of this study were continued with an assessment based on a questionnaire filled out by the head of the production division and a score of 4.28 was obtained which included very good criteria. This shows that the clamp saddle pattern that has been made can be used in the company's production process.
