Abstract

As for the purpose of this study is to describe the structure in the novel, explain the moral values in the novel with a sociological review of literature, and explain its relevance as literary learning in high school. This study uses descriptive qualitative data collected in the form of words, sentences, and paragraphs instead of number. Data collection techniques in the form of documentation techniques by collecting words, sentences, and paragraphs. To find the validity of the researcher data using triangulation techniques. Its application is carried out by checking the data that has been obtained, comparing which data should be used in research, and collecting several data sources in the form of information and ist validity related to the research carried out in the novel. The results of this study are in the form of intrinsic elements contained in the novel, namely theme, plot, setting, characters and characterizations, point of view, mandate. While the moral values contained in the novel are the relationship between humans and themselves, the relationship between other humans in the social sphere, and the relationship betweed humans and God. In conclusion, the novel Habibie&Ainun by Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie can be used as literature learning material in high school because in the novel it can be analyzed from the intrinsic elements of the novel and moral values that can be used as motivation for students.
