Abstract

Hypertension treatment compliance is a major aspect in carrying out hypertension treatment. Factors that can influence treatment adherence include family support and patient motivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family support and patient motivation with treatment compliance in hypertensive patients at Baki Public Health Center, Sukoharjo Regency. The research design used a descriptive correlational design with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were patients with hypertension at the Baki Public Health Center, Sukoharjo Regency. The sampling technique in this study used accidental sampling with a total sample of 86 respondents. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire. Based on the results of the Chi-square test with a significant level of 10%, the p-value for the relationship between the variable family support and treatment compliance is 0.166, which means the p-value is> 0.1. While the test results with a significance level of 10% show the p-value for the relationship between the variable patient motivation and treatment compliance is 0.366, which means the p-value> 0.1. The results showed that there was no relationship between family support and patient motivation with treatment compliance in hypertensive patients at Baki Public Health Center, Sukoharjo Regency.
