Abstract

The development and population growth is very rapid in Indonesia. Along with this resulted in an increase in population mobility. one of the components of transportation is the road, it is necessary to increase both the quantity and quality of the road. One of the components of the road is asphalt, because of the large amount of plastic waste and its decomposition takes a long time, a lot of research on the use of plastic waste as a mixture of asphalt. This research compares 3 previous studies with mixed materials: LLDPE, HDPE, grated used tires. This study aims to determine the value of the marshall characteristics of the 3 mixed materials. LLDPE plastic seed material is taken from plastic commonly used to wrap ice cubes, wheat flour, and sugar with a percentage of 1%, 3%, 5%, 7%, 9% then melted and mixed with asphalt, HDPE material is taken from processing Bantar Gerbang, Bekasi waste waste in the form of plastic bags, plastic bottles, and plastic oil with a percentage of 3% and 6% which is melted and mixed with asphalt, while the grated material used for tires is taken from used tires of 4-wheeled vehicles which are used as a substitute for aggregate mixed with asphalt. which is liquid with a percentage of 1%, 2%, 3%, 4%, 5% by weight of asphalt. This study uses the literature study method by comparing 3 previous studies and reviewing previous studies (3 journals), by extracting previous research that has similar research, and analyzing the results by comparing the results of research from the same three data with the same percentage, namely 3 % to obtain a new research, because the added material of used tire grater with different processing cannot be compared with other added materials. From the results of the comparison of the two mixtures, it can be seen that the HDPE mixture with an asphalt content of 6.5% and the percentage addition of 3% is better than the other mixtures with the same percentage. With the conclusion of the discussion results from the three previous journals as a whole that only HDPE added material meets the requirements and is suitable for use as an additive or mixture of AC-BC asphalt concrete with a recommended composition of 5.5% asphalt content with the addition of 6% HDPE added material.
