Abstract

The aims of this research are to know the differences between pretest and posttest massed practice towards the skill of long service forehand. This research applies a quasi-experimental population research through a quantitative descriptive approach with a one group pretest-posttest design research without control group and without being selected randomly. The population of this research were all sport education students University Muhammadiyah of Surakarta 2018. There were 127 students but the sample were 18 students who joint badminton sport talent. This research design used is an experimental design, the research directed to combine the results of the distribution of data, pre-test data and post-test data which is only one sample group (one group pre-test and post-test design). The results of this t-test sample analysis show that there is a significant differences between pretest and posttest massage practice in long service forehand. The percentage accuracy is 37,224%. The last, the massage practice shows that there is no significant differences between pretest and posttest massage practice treatment. This is happened because the increase was only 9.645%, its mean that the practice was carried out continuously or carried out with rest breaks for the athletes there was no significant change, so improving sports technical skills could not be done in a short time, it requires a relatively long time and proper program planning according to the needs of the desired field to improve movement skills.
